Medium: Salt water, I.V. bag
Dimensions: 50x19x19 feet
An I.V. bag filled with salt water hangs from a beam 50 feet above the ground. One drop of salt water drips from the bag at the rate of one drop per minute onto the black concrete floor below. Given enough time, the drops of salt water will find their way back into the ocean through the floor of the exhibition hall (situated on a pier above the Pacific Ocean). Meanwhile, an expanding halo of evaporated salt crystals accumulates upon the glossy black surface.
