installation
Collaborative solo exhibition with Margaret Tan; Alliance Française; Singapore. 2003
Medium: Human hair (including artists’ own), glue
Dimensions: 10 pieces in a 500sq-foot space
Ten separate pieces make up this show. Four of the works are larger and hard to miss, while the other 6 works are sly and subtle, requiring careful investigation of the space and at times, luck, in order to find. A price-list with the title and dimension of each piece gives the viewers clues as to which works they are looking at, and which ones they have yet to discover. One of the pieces invites interaction: a 12ft x 12ft square of floor surface is covered thickly with hair, a rake is provided, and visitors are free to do as they like.
