durational performance: 6 hours
"No Soul For Sale: A Festival of Independents"; Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall; London, UK. 2010

Free Secrets was made for Post-Museum’s London Really Really Free Market at Tate Modern’s "No Soul For Sale", a festival which brought together 70 independent art spaces from all over the world.

Really Really Free Market is a temporary market based on the concept of giving without the expectation of anything in return, and taking without the obligation of payment.

I put up a sign that read "Free Secrets: take one and/or leave one", and contributed a few of my own to get things started. The piece immediately took on a life of it’s own: Passersby were endlessly curious about the clandestine thoughts and deeds of strangers, and likewise found themselves compelled to confess anonymously to others.
